Back home, 4-0 and another three points

Well I am back home after a four hour drive through some pretty atrocious weather but very happy after watching an entertaining game at Elland Road.  The weather was pouring it down for most of the game but that did not stop both teams from getting at it.  In the early part of the first half Leeds struggled to impose themselves and I would say that Huddersfield just about shaded it until the first goal.

Then Jonathan Douglas scored with a long range shot midway through the first half which the Huddersfield keeper should probably have dealy with better.  From that point on Leeds began to assert more and more authority on the game and although Huddersfield had odd spells they never really threatened.  Leeds looked bigger, stronger, fitter and more determined and got the result they deserved with Beckford adding two in the second half and Flo getting a late fourth soon after coming on as a substitute.

First footnote to this game – Kishishev was probably lucky not to be sent off and was replaced in the second half by Howson who was I thought a revelation.  This guy should be in the starting eleven.

Second footnote to this game – Andy Hughes (ex of Reading and Norwich) played at left back and at times had me very worried.  If I was Dennis Wise I would be looking to strengthen the defence in the transfer window.  We did not concede a goal but looked shaky at times.
